Relationships can be one of our most rewarding parts of life, but they also can bring challenges. Over time, couples may struggle with communication, conflict, trust, and emotional distancing. Couples therapy offers a safe, structured environment to help explore these difficulties together, with guidance from a trained psychologist. Whether you’re dating, married, living together, or navigating a separation, couples therapy helps you and your partner better understand yourself, one another, reconnect where possible, and make lasting change.

Couples therapy is designed to help couples communicate more effectively, navigate conflict and difference, repair and rebuild trust after hurt or betrayal, strengthen emotional and physical intimacy, and align shared values and goals. The aim is never to assign blame, but to uncover patterns, build understanding, and support both partners in creating a healthier, more fulfilling relationship, whether that means staying together or ultimately parting with respect and kindness.
Couples therapy begins with an in-depth assessment of your relationship. This will involve an initial joint session to explore your history, concerns, and goals, followed by an individual session to explore and understand each partner’s perspective. Joint therapy follows focussing on knowing each other’s world, building fondness and admiration, strengthening friendship, bonds and life dreams with strategies to nurture and sustain your relationship.
